Slaves Help Build White House Capitol

With Barack Obama and his family moving into the White House, they will make history. A long time ago african american slaves were once in the white house too. Eight presidents going back to George Washington have owned slaves. Slaves even helped build the white house as carpenters. History has been made around African Americans. Who helped all the great historians like Washington and Roosevelt. Slaves have been around during the greatest moments of history. And now we have an afrucan american leading the country. Martin Luther King would be proud to see the progress that we have made.

I would vote for Barack Obama. If he were elected president that would open many

new doors for African-Americans. He has good ideas that can change the country and the way we live. I want the war in Iraq to stop too. So many people are dying because we thought they were making weapons there. We need someone to come in and fix the mistakes our last president. John McCain supported George Bush and thats not going to help us. A president who will probably do the same thing the last one did. We need change and we will have hope.

Computers

Document 1: An early computer was a punch card machine. It was created by Joseph Jacquard. This machine was used to make rugs. Another computer was created 29 years later. Its inventor was called Babbage. His machine was used for storing data using punch cards. This computer and the first computer differ in many ways. The first computer was used to make furniture. The later computer was used to help people remember things. The later computer I think is the most practical. I forget things all the time. If a company needed to remember important information, they would store it somewhere. Remembering things helps pay employees which then they can be able to buy rugs.

Document 2: Allies needed to decipher clues. The allies needed to figure out the how to calculate where to drop missiles. Computers helped them do both of those things.
B. Eventually, because people need to do important things with computers. Inventors would think of machines that can store data. They would invent computers. At some point in history we would have computers.

Document 3: It contained 19,000 triodes. It had lots of mechanical parts inside of it. That’s why the ENIAC was so heavy.

Documents 4: IBM was successful fro so long because they made an easier computer. Their computer let other companies store data without rewriting programs. Their computers were smaller and affordable for companies.

Document 5:The IBM PC is the dominant PC because it had DOS. DOS stands for Disk Operating System. With that system, IBM was the dominant PC because this system made the computer easier to work with.

In India there are many different things that americans are not used to. In india they have one tiger in a region and it is held in captivity. In the USA, specifically Oregon I don't normally see tigeras running around. The only place I have seen a tiger is at the zoo. At the oregon zoo the tiger has a lot of space but it still doesn't compare to the space it used to have. At the zoo in india the tiger has very little space.
There is what we would call poverty in India. Children bathe in rivers. I don't know if they enjoy it or if they think it sucks. In America we have bathtubs and spas and soap. In India they just rinse of.
Religion is different. Indians beleive idn many different gods. Mabey some people here beleive in different gods too and some people don't beleive at all. But in India they take it seriously.
Not all countries are the same. They differ in many ways.

A week ago my school lost somebody very special to us.
He was nice and super funny and everybody misses him. He worked at our school and was a very good motivator. I really would like to know if somebody didn't like him. He knew most of the neighborhood that was around our school. I just want to let anybody whos reading this know that that man was very special to everybody. He taught us very valuble lessons and will be missed but never forgoten.

India is a very interesting place. They do many different things that most americans are not usedd to. They use elephants as laborers to move big logs. The only tiger in a certain area is held in captivity at a zoo. It is a well trained obeidient animal. Now tigers are endangered species.
Ther are many types of dances in india. Classes are set up for yong girls who will perform at celebrations.
Children sometimes bathe in rivers or lakes. It must be normal for them but it's very different for us.
Learning about different countries is a good way to learn about how other people live. In school we are doing a project about another country. Learning new things is fun and exciting.
